A personal note from Adrienne Winkelmann, ONZM
New Zealand Fashion Designer

After decades designing for women of influence, I’m proud to pass on a treasured chapter of my sartorial story.

The Winkelmann Archives—an exclusive collection of timeless patterns and original designs—now find their home with The Bespoke Dresser®.

With her expert eye and heartfelt commitment to dressing women well, the Winkelmann legacy continues—elegant, empowering, and enduring.

The Winkelmann Archives now feature alongside her highly regarded Wardrobe Care services. Whether refreshing your seasonal essentials or commissioning a bespoke piece, you’ll experience the same meticulous attention to detail, discreet service and style advisory you know from working with me.

This is more than a new offering—it’s a continuation of a philosophy we share, that every woman deserves to feel remarkable in her clothes.

Warmest wishes,
Adrienne Winkelmann

With the launch of The Winkelmann Archives - all new garment queries will be handled through Yvette, The Bespoke Dresser® and those clients that are in personal contact with Adrienne, please do keep in touch.

How you can secure your
next Winkelmann garment.

Step One

Yvette will take you through The Winkelmann Archives a beautiful new catalogue of Adrienne’s designs, illustrating her iconic silhouettes and favourite looks, with complementing fabric swatches chosen from the extensive fabric library in O’Connell Street.

These designs are no longer available to the general public, making this a very special offering from Adrienne for her closest friends and clients—so you can keep dressing well in Winkelmann.

You can choose a private in-home consultation, or you may prefer to meet for a coffee at Gilt in the CBD. The bespoke consultation process allows time to assess your unique wardrobe needs, fit preferences and any seasonal gaps. To discuss what you have loved wearing and what could possibly be updated or revived. This typically takes one hour.

Step Two

Once you have placed your order from The Winkelmann Archives, our expert tailors swiftly bring your garments to life—transforming them from concept to calico and then cloth. It is incredibly special to still be crafting in New Zealand, a tradition worth celebrating. When all is ready, Yvette will arrange a fitting to ensure they are tailored to perfection.

Step Three

A detailed invoice is provided, covering the consult fee and any garments ordered. Payment terms as agreed at time of consultation. Your garments are delivered to home or work via personal concierge or courier.

Special note

On special request Adrienne will attend some consultations, if her schedule allows. This is a kind gesture from Adrienne to ensure a smooth handover and will be for a brief period of time only. Please make a note in your booking form if you would like Adrienne to personally attend your initial consultation.
